First and foremost, I have to dedicate this list to my Australian friend and sorority sister, Dani Poupart. This poor girl has had suffer through my sad attempts at speaking in an Australian accent more than anyone should ever have to. Although I still can never get it right, she was nice enough to teach me some Australian slang.

Warning: this list is limited to what I have learned from Dani as well as from watching “Our Lips Are Sealed” and “Summer Heights High.” Therefore, it will inevitably be ridiculous.

You guys, this is huge. It feels like Taylor just released a video for “Mean” and now we get the video for “The Story of Us”? What is this, Christmas coming early or something? This song is by far the best thing Tay has ever done. YES, I SAID IT. “The Story of Us” is my absolute favorite T-Swift song. That statement means a lot, coming from me (I would say that “Better Than Revenge” is a close second).

That’s right, everyone. I have a brand new, official Penny Can! Most of you probably have no idea what I am talking about and that is because you have never watched “Cougar Town”, an absolute gem of a TV show.

Those of you who have never seen the show are really missing out. It is no longer about older women sleeping with young guys, thank god. It has evolved into a “Friends”-type show about a group of wacky neighbors who drink copious amounts of wine and, of course, engage in wacky hijinks.

I think summer officially started for me on Tuesday. While I may have technically been on break since April 29^th, Tuesday was the first day where I really felt like I was on summer vacation. I mean, a day that starts with babysitting, ends with a baseball game during a tornado warning, with time on the lake in between is pretty much the best Minnesota summer day I could think of.
